TRAUMA PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT COORDINATOR

Karen Maciejko recently moved from Aspen, Colorado to serve as Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator at Marin Health Medical Center. She has worked in a variety of nursing roles in emergency, trauma, and injury prevention. She spent 10+ years at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Lafayette, CO, working in the ED for several years before joining the trauma service to develop the injury prevention, education, and outreach program for Level II trauma designation. She also worked in Honolulu, Hawaii, as The Queen’s Medical Center pursued Level I trauma designation, serving as the education and outreach coordinator. She spent the last 6 years as the Trauma Program Manager at Aspen Valley Hospital, a level III trauma center. She also completed the Family Nurse Practitioner for Rural and Underserved program at Regis University and worked at Castle Valley Children’s Clinic in Carbondale, CO.
